Manitoba Closet
Who are Manitoba Closet?
About the Project
I was contacted in regards to a simple brand refresh. They wanted to keep their current colours but wanted their logo, business cards, and social media icons and headers to be updated.
Original Logo
The original logo didn’t tell the story of what the company is. Rather than telling you it’s a clothing store, it almost tells you that it’s a place that builds actual closets. The owner of the company wanted to inject a little more playfulness and colour into the new logo and font.
The Outcome
The Font
For this refresh we wanted to bring in a font that brought in a home made and welcoming feel to the brand. In addition to that, the font had to be playful and fun but have a bit of a professional feel about it as well. The font we decided to go with is called “Gochi Hand”. It’s easy to read and matches any other simple fonts that the owner would decide to use in the future.
The Logo
For the logo I used the Province shape and manipulated it until it looked as though It was opening into a closet. We landed on making it look as though the words Manitoba Closet were coming out of the imagery. Keeping it simple and clean was important as the imagery would be used across multiple different platforms as well as different uses.
The Assets
In addition to the logo, a Facebook banner, business cards, and stickers were created
